Sabelt GT-620, Célula de supervivencia para coches con cockpit cerrado

Sabelt GT-620

Sabelt GT-620, cell survival for closed cockpit cars.

In line with one of our previous posts dedicated to explaining a bit more about the new standard FIA 8862-2009 on race seats in this post we present the new model Sabelt standard that meets the approval, the GT620 .

The Italian manufacturer's new model meets this standard approval requirements which required practically the same rub in the Formula 1 and Indy American, but applied to a car bodywork.

This standard requires manufacturers to build a real survival cell must withstand extreme decelerations of up to 70 G, almost twice that required for the seats that had been produced so far. To do this, manufacturers have had to work hard to build a much more consistent basis reinforced carbon fiber.

Also be taken in designing the lower back, sides and top of seat to better protect the pelvis, shoulders and neck in side crashes.

These super-seats that represent a real lifesaver for the drivers, be required initially in the categories above as the FIA WRC, and then over time probably will be extended to lower grades.

Unfortunately any progress in an increase in security costs and the price of the seat is not exactly cheap, but security is worth it.

The GT-620 s and produced in sizes M and L and in red and black, is only available under request explicit
